Hello All,
As we approach the start of the 2010 season at Sardis, it's time to get together and spruce things up around the fields. Maintenence Day will be March 20th from 10-3 on all fields. We need as many parents and players to help knock things out quickly and efficiently.
Coaches please communicate with eachother regarding practices that day. If you have practice scheduled during that time frame, you need to change it. Before 10 and after 3 are fine. Sunday is also open. Work out the schedule so all teams can practice that weekend. Rec teams take priority over challenge teams on that weekend.
During the offseason we have added a new shed, dugouts on coach pitch, and sprinklers on all fields. Watering the fields will be made much easier. Instructions will be given to coaches later.
I will send another email out closer to the date as we target our needs. We will have a Bobcat compliments of Carolina Site Concepts to work on the T ball and Coach Pitch fields especially.
Normal duties are weeding, painting, cleaning, repairing batting cages, and re-setting bases on majors fields. I will be looking around to see what else needs to be done. If you see a need let me know.
Last Spring we were washed out, but we made up for it in the Fall. Hopefully the weather will be good and we can get some things done. If not, we will try to go on the 21st.
